Burning It All Down
Listen, I’m not trying to burn it all down but I have this torch and everything is so incredibly dry here.
I came across this poem by the very talented @alixklingenberg and almost couldn’t breathe it hit so close to home.
When we neglect our wild hearts, we DO dry up - and so does everything around us.
And, when the drought goes on long enough, we forget what it feels like to thirst, to want things for ourselves.
It can push us to that place where we are ready to burn it all down just to feel alive.
That aching is your wild heart telling you it feels neglected, and unheard.
Maybe it’s time to start paying attention.
