Letting Go
Letting go is tough.
When you’re healing,
you do it a lot.
Some things drop like a cocoon
falling from a butterfly.
Some fall like
spent petals.
Some slip through your fingers
like spun silk.
Healing will demand
you let go of so much:
Staring in the mirror
and hating what you see.
People who make you feel
small and confused.
Things that drain you,
silence you,
shrink you.
Asking for permission
to live your very own life
your way.
A life that’s
no one else’s
but yours…
so the only permission
you need
is your own…
And when you finally
give yourself
that permission…
It’s a quiet revolution.
You finally stop
apologizing
for wanting
something
more.
Read that line again.
You respond only
to those things
that honor
your
light.
You choose peace
over patterns
that made you
ache in
silence.
You stop pretending
that shrinking down
is the same
as being
kind.
And that’s when it happens.
Your magic returns
and every part of you
finally knows
it’s
worth.
